It's so frustrating - the minute you have something to say, you can speak anymore. Your mouth sews itself up, your brain goes completely blank and you are very aware of a slow, distracting buzzing coming somewhere from behind your neck. All the blood rushes to your head, and your extremeties start to get colder and clammier by the seconds. People who never looked twice at you before have now fixated their gaze on you, watching as if your next move determines your future. Which it does. You're being judged at, for superficialities like appearance and stance, and for substantials like quality of material, and depth of understanding. It's as if the whole time you were excersizing free speech melted away to nothing, because it counts for squat now people ar actually listening to what you have to say.
Oh, my presentations went fine, by the way.
